NATASHA LÓPEZ was born in Johannesburg (South Africa). She awarded a high degree in Spanish Philology at the Complutense University of Madrid. She has worked as a philologist in the lexicon-syntactic field, working on projects such as REDES: diccionario combinatorio del español contemporáneo (combinatory dictionary of collocations) and the NuevaGramática de la Lengua Española (New Grammar of the Spanish language), both directed by Professor Ignacio Bosque.

She awarded a degree of violin and later began singing at the Provincial Conservatory of Music in Guadalajara. She has studied with María Ángeles Chamorro, Lani Poulson, Barbara Ebel, Angelika Luz, Frank Wörner and Frédérique Friess. She awarded a high degree in singing at the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT Weimar and in 2013 finished with honors the master of contemporary music in the specialization of singing at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik and Performing Arts Stuttgart, for what she obtained the postgraduate scholarship of the spanish foundation Fundación Caja Madrid. She has also received grants and scholarships from other institutions as Scholarship Comunidad de Madrid, Gesellschaft der Freunde und Förderer der Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT Weimar, Goethe Institut, Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg.

She has attended master classes of vocalists like Lauren Newton (free improvisation), David Stützel (technique of overtone singing), Sigune von Osten and Donatienne Michel-Dansac (vocal singing contemporary) and at the theater scene with Jurij Vasiljev and Makedoniy Kiselev. She has also participated in the courses of contemporary music Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt (Darmstadt, Germany) and in the summer courses of Stockhausen’s Foundation (Kürten, Germany).

She has performed in theaters and opera houses as Opera Stuttgart, Landestheater Eisenach, Goethe Theater Bad Lauchstädt, E-Werk-Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar and has worked with orchestra, choir and stage conductors as Giuliano Carella, Carlos Domínguez-Nieto, Wolfgang Katschner, Makedony Kiselev Johannes Knecht, Giancarlo de Lorenzo, Joan Pagès, Jurij Vasiljev, Lucas Vis and Karsten Wiegand.

She has also acted in performances and premieres of concerts, operas and contemporary music festivals, among others in the 2nd Festival of contemporary and experimental music of Stuttgart in the summer courses of the Stockhausen Foundation in Kürten (2013), Festival Mixtur 2014 (Barcelona, Spain), 47th. International Summer Course of Contemporary Music Darmstadt 2014, Novalis art + music Festival 2014 (Croatia) and Lachenmann Perspektiven Festival (2015), Festival Suså 2016 (Denmark), at Festival ECLAT 2017 and at Sampler Sèries at L’Auditori Barcelona (2017).

Natasha López works with composers like Helmut Lachenmann, Stefan Prins, Gerhard Stäbler, Michael Maierhof, Ramon Gorioitia, Klaus Lang, Koka Nikoladze, Nicolai Worsaae, etc.

She is a member of the TRIO vis-à-vis, Forum Neue Vokalmusik and Ensemble Iberoamericano, with which she performs at concerts regularly in Germany and in the rest of Europe (Spain, Croatia, Denmark, England, etc.). In 2012 she participated in the recording of the CD Winnipeg (Ensemble Iberoamericano) with the label of GENUIN.

Since January 2015 she is a member of the Association of contemporary music S-K-A-M (Stuttgarter Kollektiv für Aktuelle Musik).
